Description:
Posts payments both electronically and manually
Locate remits for each deposit from Waystar or various payer websites.
Researches all overpayments and ensures batches balance with the remittances
Identifies any payments not being paid at the allowed/contracted amount and communicates to the appropriate billing representative – A/R Manager and/or Billing Lead
Completes appropriate posting of payments to the accounts receivable and applies denials using the collection tool and policies and procedures to achieve client goals
Meets productivity standards for posting payments and denials in an effort to achieve claim resolution
Posts contractual agreement and other adjustments on a daily basis ensuring appropriate account reconciliation and resolution
Validate patient payments collected by clinics for prompt posting
Monitors unapplied payments continuously follows up
8 hour shifts, Monday-Friday, full time
100% remote
Qualifications:
2+ years of payment posting experience
Ability to read and understand EOB’s (explanation of benefits)
Healthcare (professional) billing, knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding, claim submission requirements and remittance processing
EMR experience
